A Strong Foundation For More Complex Reading & Math Skills
Math skills are emphasized in the preschool classes, focusing on counting into the triple digits, addition, and subtraction. Visual math materials are utilized to help the progression from recognizing numbers to working math problems. Our reading skills are emphasized by teaching phonics starting in the K3 and K4 programs. The phonics skills are developed further through letter and number tracing, handwriting exercises, and reading books that pull together the phonics lessons in a story. Most students leave our preschool program reading on a kindergarten or first grade level.
A Healthy Environment Courtesy Of Good Cleaning, Disinfecting, And Sanitizing Procedures
Our classrooms and restrooms are cleaned throughout the day as needed and disinfected at nap time and the end of each day. All toys are sanitized regularly using a four-step sanitization process. In the infant and young toddler rooms, toys that are used for teething get removed after a child has played with them and are sanitized before being returned to the toy bins for future use. Hand washing is practiced regularly throughout the day, after gym or playground time, before and after meals, and after every diaper change or potty time.
Building A Sense Of Order And Independence
Your child learns to do tasks for themselves and others, called practical life skills. For example, children learn how to pick up after themselves, pass out items to classmates during learning times, and help teachers with tasks around the classroom. Seemingly mundane tasks are learning opportunities. Your child gains a strong sense of self-sufficiency and confidence.

Parent Reports Keep Parents In The Loop
Your child’s education is a collaborative effort between parent and teacher; daily reports for infants and toddlers will help you know what you need to do to provide continuity to your child’s learning at home. Parent forms for general communication, items needed, and accidents or incidents are sent home for all students as needed. Expanding Learning Outdoors By Connecting With Nature
Children spend a lot of time outdoors honing their gross motor skills on the playground with large play structures and plenty of space for creativity and fun. The older children have a separate playground from the younger children, ensuring age-appropriate interactions take place as they get in their exercise while climbing, running, and enjoying the fresh air.
