Curriculum Overview

Abeka Book Curriculum at Greater Waco Early Education Center

Greater Waco Early Education Center uses the Abeka Book Curriculum, which features a traditional approach to teaching and learning through cross-subject integration, spiral review, and hands-on activities. Abeka is a Bible-based curriculum that includes Scripture songs and Bible stories while weaving biblical principles throughout the learning experience. This approach helps children develop a love of learning while building a strong academic foundation that prepares them for the next stage of their educational journey.

The Abeka preschool curriculum turns playtime into learning time in a way that feels natural and engaging for young children. Lessons are age appropriate and designed with an understanding of the differences in motor skills and cognitive development among preschoolers. Colorful, durable materials encourage hands-on participation, helping children reach realistic learning milestones while building confidence and early academic success. Faith is integrated throughout the program, supporting both academic growth and spiritual development.

Age-Appropriate Learning from Toddlers Through Pre-K

Preschool learning for two- and three-year-olds goes beyond play alone. With Abeka, young children are introduced to foundational academic concepts using engaging characters like Amber Lamb and Button Bear. As children are exposed to phonics, numbers, art, poetry, and Bible lessons, they naturally grow into confident learners while developing important early skills.

The K3 program continues this growth, strengthening academic foundations and preparing children for kindergarten readiness. In K4, the Abeka preschool program serves as a bridge between the preschool experience and kindergarten, helping children develop the skills, confidence, and structure they need for a successful transition into the next phase of learning.
